Meet Marmalade

My creative mind and world is full of characters, but I have a very special one that just happens to be my mascot. I may be biased, especially as I love cats, but he’s a pretty cool cat.

Marmalade isn’t just any cat. He’s based on a real ginger farm cat who belonged to my granddad, then to my uncle, and finally became my responsibility when I was a kid. Looking after him while my aunt and uncle were away was my very first ‘big job’. I took it very seriously!

Now, Marmalade lives on as the heart of my little creative business. He’s ginger like me (something I was teased about as a kid, but now it’s my superpower). He wears his signature pink flower-shaped sunglasses, because, like me, he likes how life looks through them — bright, bold, and full of positivity.

Marmalade represents everything of my illustrative style:

He’s not just my mascot — he’s my reminder that even small responsibilities can shape big dreams, and that life always looks better through a playful lens.
